The race starts at 11pm in Cortina, so the famous Tre Cime sector is reached around dawn. Crew points are Sesto/Sexten, Dobbiaco/Toblach, and Cortina at half distance; drop bags go to Sesto, Cimabanche, and Cortina. Late June heat in the valley sections between Sesto and Cortina is a regular factor.
