At 55 m of climbing per kilometre this is the steepest of the four distances, and it has never been run. The 2026 programme dropped the 45 km and recut the 60 km - 58.69 km and 3,124 m in 2025 - into this 50.87 km loop, so there is no previous edition to reason from: no winning time, no finish distribution, and no runner who has been round it. The terrain is the same as the rest of the event, which is to say beech wood, forest road and ridge track above the Senio valley, with the climbing arriving in repeated short blocks rather than one sustained pass. A 06:30 start in late October means the first hour is run in the dark and the last hours are cold if the weather turns. The organiser lists four aid points without kilometre marks and publishes no intermediate time gates, so the table below carries the start, the finish and the 14-hour limit only.
